The 2013 Album Part 2

April to June - the Dry Season arrives, nights cool down, the town gets busier, visitors arrive.

Two sides of the same sunset at Entrance Point.
This one is looking east.
This one, of course, is looking west.

I 'm not a fan of all the cars and people on the beach at
Gantheaume, but sometimes there's where the gathering is.
Never miss a chance for a good photo, though.

A sudden announcement from Woodside that they won't be proceeding with the development at James Price Point.  Almost impossible to pick one picture to sum up the day, but everyone is this shot played very big parts in the campaign for a very long time.
Dragonflies in abundance - a sign that the Wet Season is over.
This one was photographed on a quiet morning at the Market.

This was the sight that greeted me when I looked
up during another quiet Market moment.

Early morning seagrass monitoring on Roebuck Bay.
Teamwork and wonderful photo opportunities.

Back from the seagrass meadows, and a
black-shouldered kite is very happy to pose.

Again, how do you choose one photo to sum up the
No Gas Celebration Party.  So many happy, smiling people
having a great time, and dancing to a great band.

One day we will see Jeff's movie of the campaign.
In the meantime, we'll keep waiting.

The Cape Leveque road has dried out well -
90 kilometres of dust in your face from the
vehicles in front of you.

A partial solar eclipse over Broome,
but you had to be up early to see it.
At the other end of the day sunsets continue to delight.
A different view of a frangipani flower.

Great-nephew Jackson enjoys his
first Cable Beach sunset.

Well, it was a good one!

A black kite, one of many flying around over the
Town Beach precinct.
My visitors know to time their stay with a staircase
to the moon.  This shot was taken from Simpson's
Beach (Demco) and has NOT been photoshopped.
I had to turn around very quickly after taking
this picture on the beach at Quondong.

A significant moment at the opening of Yawuru's new Broome
office, as elders pay respects to those that have gone
before them in the battle for Native Title.

Sunrise over Roebuck Bay, seen from the Port (slipway)
with my sister Julie.

Birds of a feather flocking together
near the Market.

You couldn't ask for a nicer reception
than the one given by Jane and Vicki at the
Broome Small Business Awards.
