Some mornings you know before you start that things are going to turn out well. Today I put on my reef shoes, grabbed the big lens and headed off to Reddell Beach. This magnificent darter was only one of the birds I saw.

Birds of Reddell Beach
These days I am having most evening, and some morning, walks at Reddell Beach, as much as anything because it seems to be the only beach in Broome that doesn't have cars on it these days. And, of course, it's a great beach for photos.
Last Sunday morning I saw some rainbow bee-eaters, and Treva and I were buzzed by a kite, so this morning I took the big lens. Who would have thought there would be such a variety of birdlife?

Popular Pictures
This picture of a blue-winged kookaburra sitting on a streetlight pole has been rather popular on Facebook.
This image of a boab flower, which was a lot of hard work, if I do say so myself, is very popular at the Broome Courthouse Market.
